FYC: BEST CLASSICAL COMPENDIUM
MYTHOLOGIES II
About:
Composer Danaë Xanthe Vlasse follows the GRAMMY®-winning chamber album MYTHOLOGIES (2021) with a sequel of epic proportions. Featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, MYTHOLOGIES II offers orchestral tone poems highlighting piano and vocal soloists. Sopranos Sangeeta Kaur and Hila Plitmann are joined by tenor Omar Najmi and pianist Robert Thies, as they embody iconic characters from ancient Greece.
The musical exploration of these myths demonstrates a nuanced perspective on the protagonists of ancient stories, which speak fundamental truths about the human condition and societal values. There is duality and complexity in each character, asking audiences to ponder how these timeless archetypes fit into the modern world.

Gratitude:
Thank you to all the incredible individuals who made this project possible. The eternal gift of making this album together is that you gave me a chance to envision and enact a dream far greater than any I could have imagined or achieved by myself, and elevated my art to new heights. Though the music itself tells stories of heroism from ancient times, I feel the achievement of this project makes our team "heroic" in the present day. We had vision, planning, trust, dedication, patience, and perseverance. We sought the best in each other while giving the most of ourselves. We collectively embodied traits mankind has celebrated through thousands of years ~ Danaë Special Thanks:
