Danaë Xanthe Vlasse is an award-winning composer whose music has been featured on international radio broadcast, and she is an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher with a degree in Piano Performance and over a decade of teaching experience.
Mrs. Vlasse is the director of Music Vision Studios, based in Los Angeles CA, and her compositions are presently self-published through "Music Vision Publishing.” (Contact the composer to obtain scores of her music.)
Most of Mrs Vlasse's piano compositions are of intermediate and advanced level, and all are taught to Music Vision Studios’ students who perform them regularly in recitals. Indeed, these "Neo-Romantic" works have been so well received that many other teachers (including Antoinette Perry of USC) have asked for copies of the scores so they can include these pieces in their student's performances and competitions.
Her piano music has been extremely well received by critics, audiences and professional musicians, including Yuja Wang, who is considering scheduling Mrs Vlasse’s three big Fantasies into future performances!
Nearly all of Mrs. Vlasse’s music has been premiered; most recently, her music has been performed by pianists Mina Perry, Bryan Pezzone, Arsen Jamkotchian, Carlos Marquez, Joaquim Bonal Sarro and Harout Senekeremian. Further collaborations are currently planned with pianists Nadia Spachenko, Dr. Margery Whatley and Dr. Eugene Alcalay.
